Paneer Pakora

Paneer pakora is a popular snack across India. In this recipe paneer aka Indian cottage cheese is coated with a batter consisting of chickpea flour or besan and some Indian spices. Then deep fried in hot oil. But the twist is here that, at the end, paneer pakoras will be coated with bread crumbs which gives it a restaurant style look and a beautiful crispiness. It is often served to guests accompanied by chai. This paneer pakora is easy to make and it's the quickest recipe as it doesn't need ant chopping or cutting. You can shape the paneer cubes according to your choice. Whenever your guests arrive suddenly, this paneer pakora recipe is best to go to. There is no special technique for this recipe, so beginners can try this out also.


Ingredients:

150 gm paneer cut into cubes

1 cup bread crumbs

2 tsp mixed herbs(optional)

oil for deep fry


For batter:

1 cup chickpea flour / besan

1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp black pepper powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder (you can adjust the spiciness as per your taste)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

a pinch of baking soda

salt as per taste

water as required





Methods:

In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients for batter. Add water little by little. Keep the batter thick.


Heat the oil for deep frying pakoras. In a another plate take bread crumbs and mixed herbs. Mix it properly.


Coat the paneer cubes with the batter. Then coat it with bread crumbs. Deep fry the pakoras on medium flame. Keep the oil medium hot.


Serve this paneer pakoras with chutney and enjoy your snack time.
