Stuffed tawa fry bhindi/okra

Okra also known as ladies' fingers. This stuffed tawa fry bhindi is the best side dish ever. Just put some spices to crushed ginger garlic and stuff it into the bhindi/okra and just fry it. Usually kids don't like to have okra in their food. So this can be a best way to make them eat it. As this will take less time, you can make this recipe when you are running out of time. The most interesting thing is okra is available all time of the year, so you can make it whenever you want. This stuffed tawa fry bhindi is a very unique yet easy recipe to make. May it be lunch or dinner you can make it when you want to have something extraordinary. Rice or chapatti, you can enjoy it with anything or simply you can have it as a stater. Ingredients :

10 medium to large bhindi/okra

10-12 cloves garlic

1/2 inch ginger

A pinch of turmeric powder

1/4 tsp red chili powder or as required

Salt as required

Oil for swallow fry


Method:

Cut the head and tail of okra/bhindi. Rinse them with water and dry them with a towel.


In a mortar and pestle add garlic cloves and ginger. Add a pinch of salt and crush it. You can and green chillies if you like more spiciness.


Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the crushed ginger garlic. Adjust the salt as well.


Now make a slit in the bhindis/okras. Stuff the bhindi with crushed ginger garlic.


Now heat a tawa. Iron tawa is more preferable. Add mustard oil. You can use any oil but mustard oil always enhances the taste of the dish.


When smoke comes out of the mustard oil place the bhindis/okras one by one. Place the masala side down. Let it fry over low heat for 7-8 minutes. Now turn it onto the other side. Fry it for another 5 minutes. If needed sprinkle some salt over it.


Enjoy this stuffed tawa fry bhindi with rice or chapati.
